Are you building or converting a dwelling with separating wall or floor? Building legislation says businesses need to carry out pre-completion sound insulation tests in a number of situations.

Our UKAS accredited sound insulation testing team can take the hassle out of airborne and impact sound insulation testing to keep you compliant.

You can be confident that our UKAS accredited sound insulation testing results are reliable, and will be accepted by all regulatory bodies. Our acoustic consultants have considerable experience in conducting airborne and impact sound testing to satisfy Building Regulations requirements, and are familiar with most types of building design. Our wireless sound insulation testing equipment allows us to provide an efficient service with next-day reporting often possible.

Approved Document E 'Resistance to the Passage of Sound' of the Building Regulations was revised in 2003 and amended in 2004, requires sound insulation tests to be carried out in all new build dwellings and conversations that create two adjoining dwellings with either separating walls or floors. Sound insulation testing is currently only applicable to England & Wales, but similar regulations apply in other parts of the UK.

Sound insulation testing should only be carried out by organisations that hold approved third-party accreditation by UKAS.

Our clients for sound insulation testing include Bellway, Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey, Denne Construction, Rydon Construction and McInerney Homes amongst many others.

With the latest wireless equipment and experienced consultants on hand, we can deliver efficient sound insulation testing for you, often with next-day reporting.
